Wootton Park School
Welcome to Overstone Gate Primary School, a new primary free school in Overstone Leys in Northampton.
Overstone Gate Primary School is a brand-new, non-selective, state-funded state-of-the-art primary school being constructed at the Overstone Leys development area in north-east Northampton.
We welcomed our founding Reception learners in September 2025 and will grow by adding a Reception intake each year in line with housing growth and increased demand until reaching full capacity as a two-form entry with 420 learners aged 4-11 years.
As our new flagship energy-efficient school is now scheduled for completion by September 2026, our Reception learners are being hosted at Wootton Park School, our sister school and also part of Wootton Park Academy Trust, for the first academic year, between September 2025 and September 2026.
Based on the highly successful model established by the hugely oversubscribed all-through Wootton Park School, graded ‘Outstanding’ in 2019 and 2025, Overstone Gate Primary School’s vision is founded on strong academic achievement, developing strong values and promoting citizenship, community and service, providing a ‘foundation for growth’ where every child will thrive and prosper.
Our first-rate teaching team is led by our Headteacher, Mrs Kayleigh Smith, formerly Vice Principal at Wootton Park School. We have appointed the very best staff to teach and nurture your children. They deserve the best.
